The principals are familiar and

One or more survey crews were on the
site almost continuously for two and half years. This work
included the pre-development legal and site surveys, the
foundation contracts including nearly 600 pilings, the floor
slabs, the bolt location for steel, and finally the
installation of girders supporting the press equipment.
Included in the work were two outer buildings together with
overhead steel trestles. A total station was employed
continuously on the site. Precise levels were also supplied
with the WILD NA2 automatic level, parallel prism and INVAR
leveling rods. Taped measurements were monitored with a
digital thermometer. |

for the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Thirteen sheets of 1:2000 stereo compiled mapping and
computerized property maps were prepared.
Creation of a pilot GIS Wingham, Ontario.
Horizontal control for the Region of Waterloo. Throughout
the 1970's and 1980's up to 2000 horizontal control stations
have been installed in the Region. Our firm has been active
throughout that period in the installation and maintenance
of many of these control stations.
Note:
We have been involved jointly with many
engineering firms in the exchange of digital
data for subdivisions and major sewer and storm
water management projects. In that regard we
provided the cadastral fabric for three
kilometres of sewer line along the route of an
abandoned railway.

A mini G.I.S. system was set up for this purpose whereby we
supplied the digital files for the legal surveys which had
to match the engineer's topographical surveys. Final designs
were prepared from these files, and eventually we did the
legal survey for the pipe location.

lease purposes for the outer marker site, the PAL site, the
localizer navigational facility, and the glide path
navigational facility, and we are familiar with airport
procedures and security. |

- Data conversion of hard copy drawings and maps
either to raster or vector format, the latter containing
live text, exportable in DXF interchange format for many
CAD systems or GIS., SIF formats are also available.
- Text File Restructuring of public and private domain
data bases to customer specific requirements.
- Completed work for Grey County with
Monteith Zelinka
Limited Urban & Regional Planning Consultants to
provide CAD base mapping for Official Plan Study.
This mapping was done in a GIS environment to allow
queries of the base map and its data base to generate
new maps which illustrate thematic relationships.
- In April of 1994 we joint ventured work with another
survey firm with respect to a private hydro electric
project for the E.B. Eddy Paper Company. Utilizing the
Industrial Metrology process, two 30 ton steel casings
for the turbine section of the hydro electric generator
were aligned to a precision of 0.5 millimetres.
- Legal Boundary Surveyors by training and by their
Code of Ethics are objective and impartial in their
determination of property rights and boundaries. We have
applied this training to other areas. For example we
acted as an arbiter between two parties over a volume of
materials dispute. We have also served as expert
witnesses in court, dealing in areas ranging from volume
of materials to vehicle accident reconstruction.
- In addition to development projects (subdivisions,
condominiums) in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo
we have provided services to developers in Brantford,
Chatham, Tillsonburg, Simcoe, Grand Bend, Port Elgin and
other areas of Southern Ontario.
- GPS data capture of 16,000 Kms.
of road within Southern Ontario to update NTS maps.
- GPS data capture and computations in establishing
horizontal control for subdivision design and layout.
- On going project with Region of Waterloo regarding
the West side arterial Road known as Ira Needles Blvd.
